Airtificial fabricará mandos de vuelo para el Hürjet de Turkish Aerospace Industries


  • La compañía cierra pedidos con Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) para desarrollar la ingeniería aeroespacial, el diseño y la fabricación de 31 'sticks' de vuelo para dos aviones militares de las Fuerzas Aéreas turcas: el 'HÜRJET Next Generation Jet Trainer' y el último modelo de caza de combate. La producción de estos componentes se realizará en la planta de Aeroespace & Defense en Sevilla, uno de los tres grandes polos aeroespaciales de Europa.

 

  • Airtificial lleva más de 15 años desarrollando 'sticks' de vuelo, participando en diversos programas aeronáuticos y para diferentes propósitos, desde control de vuelo hasta sistemas de repostaje en vuelo. Ese 'know-how' propio en el complejo sector aeroespacial la posiciona como una de las pocas compañías del mundo, al nivel de gigantes en el sector de la defensa como BAE Systems, capaz de realizar el proceso completo de ingeniería, diseño y fabricación de estos 'sticks'. Además, en el sector de aviación en Defensa fabrica también 'sticks' para Airbus con los cuales se maneja la pértiga de repostaje en vuelo del avión cisterna líder en el mundo, el A330MRTT.

 

Madrid, 30 de octubre de 2024. Airtificial vuela con el viento de cola en el sector Defensa. La compañía ha aumentado su cartera de pedidos con Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) para la producción completa de 31 sticks de vuelo para dos tipos de aviones militares turcos: el HÜRJET Next Generation Jet Trainer, avión a reacción de entrenamiento militar y de combate ligero, y el último modelo de caza de combate. Con éstos, la compañía suma más un centenar de sticks fabricados para TAI en los últimos tres años. Airtificial, en su unidad Aerospace & Defense (A&D), acumula más de 15 años de experiencia en el ciclo de producción completo de sticks de vuelo, y destaca como una de las pocas empresas del mundo capaz de desarrollar la ingeniería de estos procesos industriales.

 

Estos nuevos pedidos valorados en 2,5 millones se enmarcan dentro del tercero que firma Airtificial Group con la compañía pública turca desde el inicio de sus relaciones comerciales en 2020, año en que acordaron varios contratos en materia de Defensa. En abril de este año, firmaron un acuerdo de 4,8 millones de euros para la fabricación de 46 sticks de vuelo y el desarrollo en profundidad de las capacidades tecnológicas, electrónicas y mecánicas de estos brazos de control. Anteriormente, en febrero de 2023, ambas entidades acordaron por 4,6 millones de euros el desarrollo, la ingeniería de sistemas y la fabricación de una decena de sticks de vuelo para el avión de combate turco de quinta generación.

 

Éstos sticks de control de vuelo se están realizando en su planta de Sevilla, en Aerópolis, el único parque tecnológico en España dedicado exclusivamente a la industria aeroespacial. A su vez, Aerópolis es uno de los tres grandes polos aeroespaciales de Europa, junto con Toulouse (Francia) y Hamburgo (Alemania).

 

Con esta nueva adjudicación de TAI, Airtificial se refuerza como proveedor global de tecnología aeroespacial, ya que acumula más de 15 años de experiencia durante los que sus ingenieros y expertos han desarrollado un know-how propio muy valorado en el sector que le permite trabajar en proyectos de gran magnitud y valor añadido.


'Sticks' de vuelo también de los aviones cisterna de Airbus

Además de trabajar para TAI, Airtificial A&D lleva años y fabricando sticks de vuelo para otra aeronave militar, el A330MRT, avión militar cisterna líder en el mundo. En este programa Airtificial ha trabajado en el desarrollo e industrialización de dos modelos diferentes de sticks, incluyendo una versión de Nueva Generación con unas prestaciones mecánicas mucho más avanzadas. Estos sticks de Airtificial se usan para el manejo de la pértiga o manguera de recarga de combustible en vuelvo, maniobra que requiere de una gran precisión técnica.


La oportunidad del HÜRJET en el mercado español

El desarrollo de los sticks de control de vuelo para el avión de entrenamiento y combate ligero HÜRJET abre la puerta a la compañía a una importante oportunidad en el mercado aeronáutico español.

Según fuentes del sector, la Fuerza Aérea de España está actualmente en proceso de evaluar varias opciones para sustituir su flota de aviones F-5M, utilizados en el entrenamiento avanzado de sus pilotos. Entre las opciones consideradas se encuentra precisamente el HÜRJET, el cual podría llegar a España debido a un posible intercambio de 24 aeronaves de este tipo por seis de transporte A400M, fabricados por Airbus en España. Airtificial Group también fabrica piezas estructurales para este modelo de avión.


Proveedor global estratégico de piezas en 'composite' para el sector Defensa

Airtificial también está incrementando el volumen de piezas, denominadas "referencias" en el sector, que fabrica para aviones militares. Actualmente Airtificial A&D diseña y fabrica en su planta de Jerez más de 100 referencias al año para el A440M, además de piezas para los cargueros C295 de Airbus.

El director general y consejero de Airtificial Group, Guillermo Fernández de Peñaranda, afirma que "el nuevo pedido de TAI reafirma su confianza en nuestro saber hacer y nuestra capacidad tecnológica". "Somos un proveedor de referencia en tecnología de vanguardia en el sector aeroespacial: tanto con los sticks como con la capacidad de producir piezas de composite que reemplazan a las de metal y aligeran el peso de las aeronaves", añade. Fernández de Peñaranda concluye que "Airtificial tiene un recorrido por delante sumamente importante, dado que su actividad está respaldada e impulsada por una legislación cada vez más 'ecológica' que fomenta la transición de la industria aeroespacial global hacia el desarrollo de materiales más ecológicos y ligeros que contribuyen a la reducción de emisiones contaminantes. Los fabricantes de aviones se ajustan a esa legislación cambiando las piezas de metal de sus aviones por las de composite que fabrica la compañía".

Airtificial fabrica el mayor lineal de su historia

  • Se trata de un lineal robotizado e inteligente de 100 metros de longitud con una elevada carga tecnológica que desarrolla el montaje de sistemas de refrigeración de baterías eléctricas para automóviles eléctricos e híbridos.

  • El grupo refuerza así su posicionamiento como proveedor de referencia en tecnología industrial inteligente para vehículos eléctricos e híbridos y, además, refuerza el tejido empresarial de este sector en España, especialmente en Cataluña.

Madrid, 18 de octubre de 2024. Airtificial Group desarrolla un proyecto para un prestigioso Tier 1 alemán de automoción de 5,2 millones de euros en el que fabrica el lineal más grande de su historia. Con unas dimensiones de 100 metros de largo por 20 de ancho, este lineal con 'sello Airtificial' se encarga del montaje en serie larga del sistema de refrigeración de las baterías de automóviles eléctricos e híbridos, y se caracteriza por llevar integrado un método de transporte robotizado de carga y descarga de componentes. El proyecto engloba el diseño y la fabricación de 20 brazos robotizados y más de 15 cámaras de visión artificial para el reconocido Tier 1.

Estas cámaras de visión artificial creadas por la compañía desempeñan un papel crucial en este tipo de procesos industriales. Su operativa consiste en capturar y analizar imágenes en tiempo real a través de algoritmos avanzados de 'deep learning', capaces de identificar, medir y evaluar diferentes aspectos del proceso de ensamblaje entre los que se encuentra el mencionado método de transporte de carga y descarga de componentes.

Intelligent Robots, unidad de negocio perteneciente a Airtificial Group, llevará a cabo el diseño, la fabricación y el montaje de las piezas de este lineal en su planta de Manresa, Barcelona, la cual necesariamente se ha ampliado para poder hacer frente a este reto tecnológico. Así, estos procesos de optimización industrial suponen una apuesta del grupo por el desarrollo del tejido empresarial de automoción eléctrica e híbrida tanto en Cataluña como en España.

Dos son los motivos que conforman el valor añadido que el reconocido Tier 1 de automoción alemán ha tenido en cuenta para volver a confiar en la compañía: su expertise en vehículos eléctricos e híbridos y la utilización de procesos industriales altamente automatizados con alta carga tecnológica. El proyecto diseñado 'ad hoc' para este Tier 1, además de la fabricación del lineal de montaje más grande en la historia de Airtificial Group, ha constado de otros desarrollos como el comunicado por parte de la compañía el pasado mes de mayo para el diseño y fabricación de un lineal de montaje de menores dimensiones y la realización de una inspección de una parte fundamental de los vehículos eléctricos e híbridos, los radiadores, encargados de refrigerar las baterías para evitar su sobrecalentamiento y, por ende, su pérdida de funcionalidad y acortamiento de vida útil.

Airtificial Group reafirma así su liderazgo en proyectos de alto valor añadido que contribuyen a la electrificación del parque actual de vehículos. Asimismo, abre la puerta a una movilidad más sostenible, uno de los grandes retos a los que se enfrenta la industria hoy en día y de los que la compañía ha hecho uno de sus proyectos estratégicos.

Antonio Castro presentó los instrumentos y servicios de apoyo a las empresas de Andalucía TRADE a las empresas del Clúster Andalucía Aerospace

El director general de Andalucía TRADE, Antonio Castro, ha ofrecido hoy en Sevilla al sector aeroespacial andaluz, marcado como prioritario para la agencia pública andaluza, los nuevos incentivos a la inversión empresarial de esta entidad pública "para incrementar las capacidades del sector, ya de por sí destacadas, para afrontar sus retos futuros". "Se trata de 244 millones de euros, cofinanciados con FEDER, en convocatorias no competitivas para proyectos de desarrollo industrial e I+D en las que tienen el protagonismo las pymes industriales, si bien en la línea de I+D también tienen cabida las empresas de mayor tamaño siempre que vayan acompañando a una pyme", ha señalado Castro.

Castro, acompañado de Juán Román, director gerente del Clúster Andalucía Aeroespace, ha repasado las fortalezas del sector andaluz, "cuyos datos de facturación y empleo están acercándose a niveles pre pandemia y contribuye con un 12,84% del PIB andaluz". "Andalucía es  la segunda comunidad autónoma del ránking exportador nacional y la que más aporta al crecimiento nacional en exportaciones aeroespaciales,  con ventas al exterior que se han duplicado (100,4%) sobre enero-julio de 2023, hasta alcanzar los 1.813 millones de euros.

"El sector debe prepararse para afrontar los retos de sostenibilidad, el previsible incremento de pedidos y la necesidad de mejorar la competitividad del sector fortaleciendo la apuesta por la I+D. Para ello, ha indicado el responsable de Andalucía TRADE, además de las líneas actuales, se prevén nuevas líneas de I+D, estas ya en convocatorias competitivas, además de una próxima línea de incentivos a la internacionalización que se sumará a las actuaciones que seguimos desarrollando para facilitar la salida de las empresas andaluzas al exterior. Todo ello, hasta alcanzar la previsión de 412 millones de euros hasta el año 2027 en incentivos, además de otros 355 millones, al menos, en instrumentos financieros que gestionarán Andalucía TRADE y la Consejería de Economía", ha finalizado.
