Resultados del Campeonato de España de Vuelo Acrobático 2024: Fantoba Campeón de España en Clásico y Velarde Campeón de España en Freestyle

• En Freestyle el campeón ha sido el piloto madrileño Juan Velarde arrebatando el título a Fantoba que se quedó con la Plata y Benito con el bronce.
• Jon Ochoa, Juan Comas y Salvador Jiménez, se adjudicaron el oro en las categorías Elemental, Deportivo e Intermedio, respectivamente.

Valladolid/Madrid, lunes 23 de septiembre de 2024 – Se ha celebrado el Campeonato y Open de España de Vuelo Acrobático (CEVA), organizados por la Real Federación Aeronáutica Española (RFAE) y el Club Acrobático Central, en el Aeródromo Beatriz Cantos Matilla (LETC), ubicado en Valladolid (Castilla y León). Este enclave, especializado en aviación deportiva, reunió a los mejores pilotos nacionales del vuelo acrobático.

En la modalidad de Clásico, en la máxima categoría, Ilimitado, conocida como la "reina" de este deporte, Cástor Fantoba se proclamó campeón con una extraordinaria actuación, logrando 11.360,0800 puntos (75,33%). Camilo Benito le siguió en el segundo lugar con 11.027,1200 puntos (73,12%), mientras que Manuel Fernández Gómez ocupó el tercer escalón del podio con 10.625,7500 puntos (70,46%).

El piloto navarro Cástor Fantoba, compitiendo por primera vez en un Extra 330, al no disponer de su inseparable Sukhoi 26, demostró una vez más su excelencia técnica y puso en valor su experiencia para coronarse campeón de España en la categoría ‘reina’ del campeonato, Ilimitado. “Ha sido un placer compartir podio de clásico con dos jóvenes talentos y por supuesto con Juan en Freestyle que hizo un programa impresionante, disfruté mucho viéndole volar.” Comentó Fantoba al cierre del evento.

En la modalidad Freestyle, disputada como broche final del campeonato, el triunfo fue para el madrileño Juan Velarde como campeón absoluto, quien ofreció una actuación sobresaliente y se llevó el oro con 3.260 puntos (81,50%). En segunda posición se situó Cástor Fantoba con 3.110 puntos (77,75%), y el tercer lugar fue para Camilo Benito, con 2.110 puntos (52,75%).


Velarde, emocionado por su victoria, comentó: “Ganar en Freestyle es siempre especial. Es una disciplina en la que puedes mostrar tu estilo único y conectar de una manera diferente con el público. Este campeonato ha sido muy reñido y me siento honrado de haber competido contra pilotos de tan alto nivel. Recibir el primer Trofeo Olivier Masurel de manos de su familia ha sido, sin duda, uno de los momentos más emotivos”.


El campeonato reunió a los 20 mejores pilotos del panorama nacional más cuatro internacionales, que compitieron en las distintas especialidades de Clásico, abarcando todas las categorías. Además, cinco destacados pilotos se disputaron el título en la espectacular modalidad de Freestyle. A continuación, se presentan los resultados:

Este prestigioso evento reunirá a los mejores pilotos acrobáticos de España, junto con destacados competidores internacionales provenientes de Eslovenia, Grecia y Bélgica, quienes participarán en el Open. Además, durante la competición, se llevará a cabo la validación del Equipo Nacional de Vuelo Acrobático, que representará a España en las competiciones internacionales de 2025. 

Durante el campeonato, los pilotos se enfrentarán en las modalidades de Clásico —que incluye las categorías de Ilimitado, Avanzado, Intermedio,Deportivo y Elemental— y Freestyle, que cerrará la jornada del sábado. 

CEVA cuenta con el inestimable apoyo de la Diputación de Valladolid, Air BP, Unlimited Aerobatics (UA) y Grupo Albión, así como con la colaboración del Aeródromo Beatriz Cantos Matilla, diversas empresas patrocinadoras que apuestan por el desarrollo del deporte acrobático en España.

Irene Pasini, directora de competición, destacó: "Este evento es el más relevante a nivel nacional en su especialidad. Reúne a los mejores pilotos del país y es una oportunidad única tanto para los aviadores como para los aficionados. Nos enorgullece ver cómo una nueva generación de pilotos está surgiendo con fuerza, asegurando un futuro prometedor para esta disciplina en España".

Homenaje a Manuel "Coco" Rey y Olivier Masurel

El sábado rendiremos un homenaje a dos figuras destacadas del CEVA: Manuel"Coco" Rey y Olivier Masurel que perdimos esta temporada 2024. Ambos fueron participantes recurrentes del campeonato y tenían su base oficial de entrenamiento en Matilla de los Caños. La competición dará comienzo el jueves 19 de septiembre con los primeros vuelos, de 12:00 a 19:00. El viernes y sábado, las pruebas continuarán desde las 10:30 hasta las 18:00, siendo la competición de Freestyle el gran atractivo, programada para las 16:00. Tras la última prueba, se realizará la entrega de premios, marcando el cierre oficial del CEVA 2024.

AcroAcademy: formación e impulso al talento emergente.

Una de las grandes novedades del CEVA 2024 es la final del AcroAcademy, una innovadora plataforma de formación diseñada para descubrir e impulsar a nuevos talentos en la aviación acrobática. Anunciada en marzo de este año en el RACEFest, la iniciativa está dirigida a pilotos con licencia PPL (Private Pilot License)y un mínimo de 30 horas de vuelo como piloto al mando, sin experiencia previa en vuelo acrobático. La acogida ha sido excelente, con 15 pilotos seleccionados tras un riguroso proceso de evaluación. Los finalistas de esta primera edición, Amin Houkmi y Gonzalo Tuñón, van a tener la oportunidad de debutar en la modalidad Deportivo durante el campeonato de este año, midiéndose con pilotos experimentados.

Competición en directo para todo el mundo

Al igual que en ediciones anteriores, los aficionados a la aviación acrobática de todo el mundo podrán seguir cada detalle de la competición en tiempo real a través de la web oficial del campeonato (www.ceva.aero). La retransmisión, tanto en directo como en diferido, estará disponible para televisión, web y dispositivos móviles. Los espectadores podrán disfrutar de imágenes exclusivas desde las cabinas de los pilotos, seguir los cambios en las clasificaciones y escuchar las declaraciones de los competidores tras cada programa volado, garantizando una experiencia inmersiva y emocionante para todos.

Sostenibilidad y compromiso con el medio ambiente

Un lustro de colaboración y compromiso, las emisiones de carbono generadas por el uso de combustible de aviación durante el CEVA serán compensadas gracias al patrocinio de Air BP, proveedor oficial de combustible del campeonato. Air BP apoya proyectos de alta calidad a nivel global, enfocados en la reducción y prevención de emisiones,reafirmando así su firme compromiso con la sostenibilidad y la protección del medio ambiente.
