  • Fantoba es el piloto deportivo más relevante y laureado de España con más de 50 medallas en su palmarés, campeón nacional absoluto en 20 ocasiones y subcampeón mundial de Freestyle
Madrid, jueves 14 de marzo de 2024 – El piloto deportivo Cástor Fantoba, un referente del vuelo acrobático en España participará en la segunda edición del RACE Fest, evento para la promoción de la aviación que organiza el Real Aeroclub de España (RACE). La jornada se celebrará el sábado 16 de marzo en el aeródromo madrileño de Cuatro Vientos.

El RACE, comprometido para fomentar y difundir la cultura aeronáutica, ha organizado este evento gratuito abierto a todos los públicos en el que se podrán disfrutar de simuladores, charlas, talleres y una exposición de aviones históricos. Además, más de 40 empresas, instituciones y asociaciones del sector estarán presentes, junto con destacadas personalidades del ámbito aeronáutico.

En este contexto, Fantoba impartirá una ponencia, con el título "Recuperación de Maniobras Anormales en Aviación General".

Cástor Fantoba, subcampeón del mundo por equipos y 20 veces campeón de España de Vuelo Acrobático e instructor de vuelo, destaca: "Como profesional de la aviación, siempre valoro la oportunidad de asistir a eventos como el RACE Fest. Es gratificante poder compartir las experiencias que he acumulado a lo largo de mi carrera y ver cómo los asistentes encuentran valor en lo que les transmito".

Con más de 50 medallas en su palmarés, entre las que figuran los 20 campeonatos nacionales de Vuelo Acrobático y el subcampeonato en el Mundial de Freestyle, es el piloto deportivo más laureados de la historia de la aviación española. Fantoba compatibiliza su trabajo como comandante de línea aérea, con la alta competición y la instrucción acrobática. Tiene además una faceta empresarial menos reconocida que lo ha llevado a impulsar la apertura de su segunda escuela de vuelo acrobático, UA Training, en Portugal, después del éxito de la primera en Madrid. Actualmente, la escuela tiene una decena de alumnos para la alta competición y otros cien al año que requieren formación especializada para obtener habilitaciones relacionadas con la seguridad en vuelo y el vuelo acrobático. Fantoba tiene la motivación de fomentar la cantera de este deporte para que la modalidad perdure en el tiempo.

Acerca de Cástor Fantoba

Cástor es actualmente Subcampeón del Mundo por Equipos, campeón absoluto de España en 12 ocasiones, ocho veces campeón de España freestyle y el piloto más laureados de la historia de la aviación española que acumula más de 50 medallas en su trayectoria deportiva. Compatibiliza su trabajo como comandante de B757 en una compañía de carga del grupo, con la alta competición y la instrucción acrobática.

Fantoba, natural en Sangüesa (Navarra), es Ingeniero Técnico Aeronáutico por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Tras trabajar varios años en mantenimiento de Aeronaves, su vocación aeronáutica le llevó a formarse como piloto. Además, es comandante de línea aérea, calificado en Boeing 737, 757 y 767, y piloto de extinción de incendios. Es instructor de vuelo e integrante de la selección española de Vuelo Acrobático desde 1999. Ganó su primer Campeonato de España en 1997, en categoría Intermedio, pero fue en 2002 cuando ser coronó por primera vez Campeón de España Absoluto. Es miembro fundador del Equipo Bravo3 de vuelo acrobático, creado en 2011.

Además, ha sido embajador de la Marca España desde 2014 hasta 2018, fue otorgado en 2019 el Diploma Paul Tissandier de la FAI por su trayectoria y labor en apoyo de la aviación deportiva y galardonado por Avión Revue Internacional a la Excelencia Deportiva 2019. Medalla del Comité Olímpico Español por Méritos deportivos 2023. Reconocido oficialmente Deportista de Alto Nivel (DAN) por el Consejo Superior de Deportes desde 2005. Ha logrado más de 50 medallas en su trayectoria deportiva, seis medallas en una única competición de máxima categoría (EAC 2014). Ha conseguido 30 medallas FAI entre los cuales destacan seis oros.

Cástor además fue Subcampeón del Mundo en Freestyle en 2019; tres medallas de bronce en el Mundial 2017; doble medalla de bronce en el Mundial 2015, medalla de bronce en Clásico y en Freestyle en el Europeo 2016, Campeón de Europa Absoluto 2014 y 2 veces Campeón de Ilimitado en el Open de España.

Las próximas citas en el calendario deportivo serán: el Campeonato del Mundo de Vuelo Acrobático que se disputará en Polonia (15-25 agosto) y el Campeonato de España de Vuelo Acrobático (CEVA) (19-21 septiembre y 3-5 octubre).

UNVEX’24 ya tiene reservado más del 75% y las instituciones se suman a las conferencias

  • El evento se concentra en los días 4 y 5 de junio.

 UNVEX'24 tiene reservado más del 75% de su espacio expositivo y ha

asegurado la participación de organismos nacionales e internacionales en su programa de

conferencias. UNVEX’24, el mayor evento de drones que se organiza en España, se celebrará los días

4 y 5 de junio en la Fira de Barcelona.


La zona de exposición de UNVEX se acerca al aforo completo con empresas nacionales e

internacionales confirmadas. Entre los expositores confirmados, se encuentran Airbus y Civil UAS

Initiative, también patrocinadores oro de esta edición, Avincis, General Atomics y Navantia,

patrocinadores plata, y Grupo Oesía y Marine Instruments, patrocinadores bronce.


La sala Monjuic de la Fira de Barcelona acogerá la exposición de 3.000 m² y otros 1.000 m² de zonas

de conferencias y networking.


La Exposición se completa con un Programa de Conferencias dividido en las principales temáticas de

interés para los usuarios y la industria, con teatros diferenciados entre Movilidad, Seguridad y

Comercial, así como una sala dedicada a que la industria pueda hacer presentaciones de sus

productos ante la audiencia congregada.


La mayoría de los teatros se encuentran en la zona de exposición, lo que beneficiará la asistencia a

las conferencias de un mayor número de profesionales.


El programa de conferencias se está completando con la participación de representantes de

instituciones nacionales como la secretaría general de Transportes y Movilidad, Agencia Estatal de

Seguridad Aérea, ENAIRE o la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña; junto a organismos

Fechas

UNVEX’24 se celebrará los días 4 y 5 junio en la Fira de Barcelona, donde se organizarán tanto la

Exposición como las Conferencias. En la tarde del 5 de junio, se desarrollarán las demostraciones

aéreas en el aeropuerto de Sabadell.


La sesión, agendada para el día 6, se ha confirmado para el día 5, ya que las demostraciones de

UNVEX no pueden ser impedimentos para el normal funcionamiento del aeropuerto y tendrán que

hacerse en la franja horaria donde cese su actividad.

Airbus has presented its full electric CityAirbus NextGen prototype to the public, ahead of its maiden flight later this year. The two-tonne class CityAirbus, with a wing span of approximately 12 metres,  is being developed to fly with a 80 km range and to reach a cruise speed of 120 km/h, making it perfectly suited for operations in major cities for a variety of missions.
