Mars helicopter, lost?

Flight 72 Status Update - NASA Mars

On Jan. 18, NASA's Ingenuity Mars Helicopter executed its 72nd flight at the Red Planet. The flight was designed as a quick pop-up vertical flight to check out the helicopter's systems, following an unplanned early landing during its previous flight. Data Ingenuity sent to the Perseverance rover (which acts as a relay between the helicopter and Earth) during the flight indicates it successfully climbed to its assigned maximum altitude of 40 feet (12 meters). During its planned descent, communications between the helicopter and rover terminated early, prior to touchdown. The Ingenuity team is analyzing available data and considering next steps to reestablish communications with the helicopter.

First ZEROe engine fuel cell successfully powers on | Airbus

In late 2023, the ZEROe teams powered on the iron pod, the future hydrogen-propulsion system designed for Airbus' electric concept aircraft. As well as the hydrogen fuel cell system, the iron pod contains the electric motors needed to spin a propeller and the units that control and keep them cool. Its successful power on at 1.2 megawatts is a pivotal step on Airbus' ZEROe roadmap to put a hydrogen-propulsion aircraft into service by 2035.

FAA Increasing Oversight of Boeing Production and Manufacturing | Federal Aviation Administration

After taking decisive and immediate action to ground approximately 171 Boeing 737-9 MAX planes, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) today announced new and significant actions to immediately increase its oversight of Boeing production and manufacturing. These actions come one day after the FAA formally notified Boeing that the FAA has launched an investigation into the company as a result of last Friday's incident on a Boeing Model 737-9 MAX in which the aircraft lost a passenger door plug while in flight.
