Russia runs budget deficit as defence spending rises
Russia swung from a budget surplus to a deficit last year, officials said Tuesday, as authorities boost defence spending amid Moscow's assault on Ukraine. The deficit reached 3.3 trillion rubles ($47 billion), or 2.3 percent of gross domestic product, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told a government meeting. Russia ran a budget surplus in 2021. Boeing needs "real honest-to-God product development:" ex-CEO - Leeham News and Analysis
"I've got to be really careful," Condit replied, choosing his words carefully. "I've been retired for almost two decades. I think there are some things that I have heard and observed that I agree with, like SAF as a place to go, is one of those. [Spain] Implementation of independent parallel operations in LEMD
The approaches to the 4 arrival runways (32R and 32L in North Configuration or 18R and 18L in South Configuration) of the MADRID/Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (LEMD/MAD), are currently performed following Dependent Parallel Approaches procedures in force since 2006.
In order to improve the system's efficiency, in compliance with EU Regulation 2017/373, and specifically with Section ATS.TR.255 ("Operations on parallel or near-parallel runways"), there is a project to introduce independent parallel approaches procedures at MADRID/Adolfo Suárez MadridBarajas airport (LEMD) with East and West approach sectors and an NTZ between the two localizers.
This mode of operation will be the standard mode for routine operations. The entry into service date will be the first quarter of 2023.
These main benefits of this project are: - Increase of safety levels and optimization of operational procedures due to path predictability (STAR RNAV1) and reduced use of vectors to intercept the final approach course or track, thus leading to a reduced workload and burden of communications for pilots and the ATC service. - Based on the above, an increase of capacity and efficiency of MADRID/Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport in the mid-term.
