TsAGI Tests ‘Slon’ Aircraft Enhanced Model (Russian replacement for An 124)
Slon, the heavy transport aircraft, is an advanced civil aviation project that TsAGI is working on. Currently, TsAGI is enhancing the aerodynamic layout and is trying new technological solutions. The activities are carried out under the state contract with Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation under Technologies—Transport—2 R&D.
TsAGI Completes Wind Tunnel Tests of SSJ NEW Aircraft Model Engined by PD 8
TsAGI scientists studied aerodynamic characteristics of the SSJ-NEW model with the nacelles of domestic PD-8 engine, which is to replace the SaM-146 that had been installed before. The tests also aimed to determine the best angles of vortex generators' installation on PD-8 engine nacelles.
China, Russia and start supersonic transport research and development project
This is the first international project with participation of TsAGI that received grant from the Russian Science Foundation. The work is carried out within an urgent aerospace area—creation of supersonic transport (SST). In this research, TsAGI is partnered by CARDC (China Aerodynamics Research and Development Center).

Released yesterday, the EC's Drone Strategy 2.0 for a Smart and Sustainable Unmanned Aircraft Eco-System in Europe provides "a clear vision for the development of the drone sector," including the goals of having drones and other air mobility vehicles, along with the requisite ecosystem, become an accepted part of EU life by 2030
