U.S. Army’s Q-53 MMR Demonstrates Counter-UAS Mission


The U.S. Army's AN/TPQ-53 (Q-53) Multi-Mission Radar (MMR) successfully integrated with an Army command and control system and provided tracking data to launch a counter unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) defeat system in Yuma, Arizona.

McConnell AFB completes KC-46 flight with limited crew (w/o co pilot)

The 22nd Air Refueling Wing flew a KC-46A Pegasus without a copilot Oct. 25 to validate procedures for operating with a limited aircrew for certain potential high-end combat scenarios.

This employment concept allows the KC-46 to complete its primary mission with a reduced crew complement when needed to rapidly launch aircraft with threats inbound or extend long-range operations in the air with offset crews.

Bell Completes U.S. Marine Corps AH-1Z Program of Record - Bell (news)

In a ceremony at the Amarillo Assembly Center, Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, celebrated the delivery of the 189th AH-1Z Viper to the U.S. Marine Corps, completing the Program of Record (POR) for the latest version of the storied H-1 platform. Bell completed the UH-1Y POR of 160 aircraft in 2018 bringing the combined H-1 POR to 349 aircraft.
