Air Canada orders 15 more A220s for a total of 60 aircraft


Air Canada has confirmed an order for 15 more A220-300, bringing the Canadian flag carrier's total firm order from an initial 45 to 60 aircraft. The airline started its A220 service in January 2020 and currently operates over 30 A220s on transcontinental routes in Canada, as well as to the U.S. and to Latin America.


Boeing selects Honeywell’s APU for the B-52

The B-52H bomber will no longer require an external cart nor gunpowder cartridges for starting up its engines in future. Boeing is said to have selected Honeywell's 36-150 auxiliary power unit (APU) as part of the Commercial Engine Replacement Program.

Competitive Aussies should ‘lead world’ on SAFs, says Joyce

Speaking at the CBA's Sustainability Conference, Qantas CEO Alan Joyce argued the country should be taking advantage of its huge landmass to develop SAFs, which are often derived from used cooking oil and other waste products.
