• An amateur aviation enthusiast believes he has found 50 Nazi warplanes buried below a Turkish airbase 
• The Focke-Wulf FW-190s were supplied by Hitler in 1943 in return for supplies of iron ore and chromium 
• At the end of the Second World War, Washington insisted Ankara replaced the aircraft with US-built planes
• Uluhan Hasdal believes instead of destroying them, Turkish officials dismantled the aircraft for future use
