A military satellite communications service has been launched by Airbus Defense and Space using compact X-band terminals and the Skynet satellite network. The service, called XEBRA, offers high throughput, mobile satellite communications for tactical- and intelligence- based missions. The terminals weigh just 11.2 pounds.
