Tecnam to produce General Aviation aeroplanes in China

ecnam, the Italian General Aviation manufacturer announced today an exclusive agreement with LUSY, Liaoning United Aviation, Shenyan Aircraft Co., Ltd, to produce three Tecnam aeroplane models in China.

LUSY’s Faque Airport based production facility will manufacturer three Tecnam models exclusive for China based customers. The Tecnam 2006T Twin, the two-seater 2008JC and the four-seater Tecnam P2010.

The ever-growing demand for air transportation in China, is resulting in the demand for over 500,000 commercial pilots to be trained over the next few decades.

This cooperation between Tecnam and LUSY is primarily in place to support the need to develop and train a new generation of skilled pilots exclusively for China.

LUSY, new production facility will commence to manufacture, sell and service Tecnam aeroplanes immediately, servicing the needs of not only China based customers but also supporting the needs of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, based operators too.

The first aircraft on LUSY production line will be the Tecnam P2006T. This best-selling twin is already fully certified and validated by the China’s Civil Aviation authority.

It is the lightest GA twin-engined aeroplane with four seats, retracting gear and powered by two Rotax engines capable to running with common automotive gas. This aircraft, equipped with Garmin 950, is the “smartest” aircraft for flight schools offering “complex” training, but also available for private use, passengers, aerial works, ,surveillance, maritime patrol and also agricultural with the Special Mission varient.

Tecnam is running CAAC’s certification process on Tecnam’s single engine two seat P2008JC CS/VLA and single engine four seat P2010 CS/23 fully certified by EASA. Production in China of these models will follow the validation.

Sweden and Brazil collaborating in aerospace research

The governments of Sweden and Brazil have agreed to further strengthen their cooperation with regard to civil and military aerospace research. The collaboration, announced during the President of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff's, visit to Sweden, means that Sweden's and Brazil's Defence departments and Ministries of Enterprise and Innovation will assemble a joint steering group for aerospace research.

An introductory meeting was held on Monday October 19 between government representatives from both countries to delineate the details of the partnership.

"This venture will allow us to strengthen the valuable relationship already shared between Sweden and Brazil forged by the Gripen deal," says Saab's Deputy CEO, Senior Executive Vice President, Lennart Sindahl. "In the long-term, we hope to be able to form larger projects together and bring the technology closer to the products. Together we can pool our resources and knowledge in order to attain increased global competitiveness."

Both Brazil and Sweden have been engaged in aerospace research for a long time, and complement each other well within the field of aviation. Brazilian industry delivers large civilian aircraft and has military aviation operations as well. Aside from its civilian aviation operations, Sweden is one of a small number of nations that has the capability to develop and manufacture modern fighter aircraft. Sweden's strong collaboration between academia, industry and government agencies is unique and, as a result, many countries are interested in understanding the inner workings of the Swedish aerospace industry and the research done there.

In a press release published on Monday October 19, Oscar Stenström from the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation explained:

"There is a great deal of interest in Swedish aviation solutions, for example, within design, production technology and sensor systems. This innovation partnership can lead to transfers within many other sectors and can create job opportunities in Sweden as well as Brazil."

Long standing academic exchange between the two countries

Saab already have an academic exchange project together with Swedish and Brazilian universities. The exchanges primarily take place within the Swedish-Brazilian Research and Innovation Centre (CISB), which serves as an arena for innovation, research and development.

Swedish aerospace research is coordinated by Innovair

Vinnova is an agency within the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation tasked with promoting research and innovation in order to contribute to growth in Sweden. Innovair is a group to which all the players involved in Swedish aerospace research belong and one of the 16 "Strategic Innovation Areas" (SIO) established by Vinnova. Innovair is made up of research funding agencies, universities and institutes that conduct research, and companies that participate in the research and utilise the results.

OSLO, Norway, Oct. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Norwegian have finalized an order for 19 787-9 Dreamliners valued at more than $5 billion at current list prices. The order also includes options for 10 more 787-9s, as the carrier looks to significantly grow its existing long-haul fleet into the next decade. It is the largest single order for 787-9s from a European airline.

Norwegian currently operates eight 787-8s and has previously ordered 11 787-9s through lease agreements. With today's order, the carrier, headquartered in Oslo, will expand its total 787 fleet to nearly 40 airplanes in the coming years.

The 787-9 complements and extends the 787 family. With the fuselage stretched by 6 meters (20 feet) over the 787-8, the 787-9 can fly up to 20 percent more passengers and 23 percent more cargo farther yet with the same exceptional environmental performance – 20 percent less fuel use and 20 percent fewer emissions than the airplanes they replace.

Canada’s change of government this week, after a decade of conservative rule, could see Ottawa swiftly exit the multinational F-35 programme and instead pursue a fighter competition, which defence analysts suggest could favour the Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet or F-15SE, or Dassault's Rafale.

FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 21, 2015 – Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) successfully completed the maiden flight of the F-16V, the latest and most advanced F-16 on the market today. The October 16 flight marks the first time an F-16 has flown with Northrop Grumman's advanced APG-83 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Scalable Agile Beam Radar (SABR), which will deliver a quantum leap in capability for the venerable F-16.

The F-16V "Viper" advanced avionics configuration also includes a new cockpit Center Pedestal Display, a modernized mission computer, a high-capacity Ethernet data bus, and several other missions systems enhancements that collectively add significant combat capabilities to address the dynamic threat environments emerging in the coming decades.

Sonex Aircraft extends its congratulations to Redge Greenberg of Durango, Colorado, who made the first flight of SubSonex serial number JSX0003 yesterday, October 15th: the first customer-built SubSonex Personal Jet to fly! "I flew the SubSonex this morning, for about 35 minutes… all went well," writes Redge. "My regards to Dwight Tolfer who was a big help for me during the construction project that was done almost entirely in my garage."

Redge received the first SubSonex kit delivery in February, 2015, an Ultra-Quick-Build kit with optional Triton Trailer (see our February 16th Press Release). The SubSonex is sold as a Quick Build Kit only, leaving very little work for the customer, and providing almost everything needed to fly with the exception of avionics and paint! Two Quick Build Kit versions are offered: an EAB-compliant kit for the traditional builder including pre-built wings, fuselage and canopy; and an Experimental Exhibition category Ultra- Quick Build Kit with no “51 percent rule” restrictions. The Ultra-Quick Build customer will install the easily-removable outboard wing panels, engine and fuel system, bolt-in the retractable landing gear, install avionics, electrical systems and controls, install the supplied BRS, fiberglass components and upholstery, and add paint.

"I hold commercial glider, helicopter & single engine land licenses, accumulating 4500+ hours in numerous aircraft," wrote Greenberg for our February press release, "but I never got the chance to fly a jet. I first saw the prototype of the SubSonex at Oshkosh, and followed the development for over a year. When Sonex offered the jet as a kit, I was first in line. Like my RV8, the SubSonex is aerobatic, but the Sonex company also included a ballistic parachute for extra safety."

With two SubSonex JSX-2 factory prototype aircraft now flying, Redge's SubSonex makes number 3 in the worldwide fleet, with 6 more customer kits currently under construction.

2nd Factory Prototype SubSonex JSX-2 Achieves First Flight on October 7th
The skies over Oshkosh were once again filled with tiny jet noise on the afternoon of October 7th as the JSX-2 worldwide fleet doubled with first flight of SubSonex N241SJ! John Monnett took the sister ship of #1 JSX-2 prototype N141SJ for a short flight, which was uneventful and successful. #2 JSX-2 N241SJ was constructed at the same time as N141SJ, but flying the aircraft took a back seat to flying and refining it's "Sonex yellow" sibling, leading to it's use advertising the design as the airshow bird of Bob Carlton's Vertigo Airshows. The gray, shark-mouthed JSX-2 #2 will serve as Sonex's Oshkosh-based SubSonex factory demonstrator, and incorporates all the latest refinements to the SubSonex design.

Two More Shows Added to SubSonex Airshow Schedule
Bob Carlton recently added the 8th and 9th events to the SubSonex 2015 performance schedule, capping-off a hugely successful year for the inaugural show season in the new jet. LAS EXPORTACIONES AERONÁUTICAS ANDALUZAS CRECEN UN 18,6% EN LOS PRIMEROS SIETE MESES DE 2015 HASTA LOS 822 MILLONES DE EUROS

La Consejería de Economía y Conocimiento organiza la tercera edición de Aerospace & Defense Meetings-ADM Sevilla 2016 que ya ha abierto su periodo de inscripción

Las exportaciones andaluzas del sector aeronáutico alcanzaron los 822 millones de euros en los primeros siete meses de 2015, lo que supone un incremento del 18,6% respecto al mismo periodo del año anterior. Con estos datos, Andalucía es segunda comunidad exportadora, con el 30% del total, y siendo Sevilla y Cádiz las provincias líderes en ventas en el exterior, con un crecimiento del 21,7% y 14,2% respectivamente.

La Consejería de Economía y Conocimiento, a través de Extenda-Agencia Andaluza de Promoción Exterior, organiza la tercera edición de Aerospace & Defense Meetings-ADM Sevilla 2016 que ya ha abierto su periodo de inscripción para las empresas andaluzas que quieran participar en la página web del certamen que se encuentra accesible en http://www.bciaerospace.com/sevilla/es/registrese.html.

Extenda realiza, junto a Abe-BCI, el mayor evento del sector de España, que tendrá lugar entre el 11 y el 13 de mayo, con el objetivo de consolidar a Andalucía como capital del negocio aeroespacial en nuestro país y punto de referencia del circuito mundial del sector.

Por otra parte, el crecimiento del 18,6% de las ventas aeronáuticas andaluzas es mayor que el experimentado por España en el mismo período (14,5%), cifras que aportan a la balanza comercial andaluza un saldo positivo de 285,2 millones, con una tasa de cobertura del 153%. En cuanto a los provincias exportadoras, Sevilla realizó ventas por valor 538,2 millones (65,5% del total), mientras que las exportaciones de Cádiz alcanzaron los 281 millones (34,2% del total), en segunda posición.

Diversificación de mercados

En cuanto a los mercados, Extenda ha detectado que el nivel de diversificación de destinos sigue presente en este período, ya que 16 de los 20 primeros países fueron no comunitarios. Asimismo, Francia continúa en primer lugar con 223 millones de euros (27% del total) y un crecimiento del 26,2% con respecto a los primeros siete meses de 2014; seguido de México, con 128,4 millones (15,6% del total) que multiplica por 492 las ventas.

En tercer lugar está Malasia, con 127,4 millones (15,5% del total), que multiplica sus cifras por 396; en cuarta posición se encuentra Egipto, con 94,2 millones y casi el cuádruple que en los mismos meses de 2014; seguida de Alemania, con 86,2 millones. Destacan también los crecimientos en exportaciones a otros países como Vietnam (54,6 millones), sexto mercado, al que no se registraron ventas en los siete primeros meses de 2014.

Los datos de las empresas exportadoras andaluzas indican que el sector goza de un alto nivel de internacionalización, con el significativo crecimiento del 11% en el número de empresas exportadoras registrado en 2014, hasta alcanzar las 59, y alza del 21% en las exportadoras regulares, que se sitúan ya en 23. Estos números indican que más de la mitad de las empresas del sector (114) son exportadoras y el 20% exportadoras regulares, acaparando estas 23, el 80% de las ventas al exterior.

ADM Casablanca 2015

Dentro de las acciones que realiza Extenda para promocionar el sector aeronáutico andaluz en el mundo, ha organizado la participación de las empresas sevillanas Maquinser, Fundación Hélice y Simetrycal en la Aerospace & Defense Meetings Casablanca 2015, que tendrá lugar del 6 al 7 de octubre de 2015 en Marruecos.

La industria aeronáutica marroquí cuenta con 106 empresas, que facturan más de 100 millones de euros al año, y emplea a más de 11.000 personas. La gran mayoría de las empresas del sector están ubicadas en Casablanca y región adyacente donde se han instalado algunas filiales de líderes internacionales como Safran, EADS, Boing, Bombardier o Thales.

ADM Sevilla 2016

Los objetivos de ADM Sevilla 2016 son superar los datos cuantitativos de la segunda edición e incrementar los cualitativos, en cuanto a la entidad de los contratistas internacionales que participarán en esta cita, lo que permitirá a las empresas andaluzas establecer contactos de máximo nivel con los principales actores mundiales del sector, y también en cuanto al programa de conferencias expertas organizadas. De esta forma, se consolida su carácter comercial y de conocimiento, así como su ubicación dentro del circuito mundial de negocios del sector.

La segunda edición supuso la consolidación del carácter bienal del evento, destacando sus participantes una importante mejora sobre la primera edición en cuanto a la calidad de los encuentros de negocio organizados y a los principales aspectos de la organización, calificados en más de un 90% de los casos como “bueno” o “excelente”. ADM 2016 podrá ser cofinanciada con fondos procedentes de la Unión Europea.

Convocatorias abiertas de internacionalización 2015

Extenda apoya al cluster aeroespacial andaluz con una intensa programación enfocada a participar en las principales ferias internacionales, el desarrollo de misiones comerciales a los principales mercados y otro tipo de acciones de internacionalización, en la que en 2014 participaron hasta 160 empresas.

Este año 2015 ya se ha apoyado la presencia andaluza en la `International Paris Air Show Le Bourget´ en París, y está abierta la convocatoria para el certamen `Farnborough International Airshow 2016´ en Reino Unido, Además, próximamente estará disponible la inscripción para las empresas de la comunidad en la muestra `ILA Berlin Air Show´que celebrará el próximo junio de 2016 en Berlín.

Asimismo, junto a todas estas acciones, ADM Sevilla supone la consolidación de una estrategia de internacionalización del cluster aeroespacial de Andalucía desarrollada por la Consejería de Economía y Conocimiento, a través de Extenda, y en coordinación con Hélice. En este caso, para identificar a Andalucía y a sus empresas como la capital del negocio aeroespacial de España y tercer polo aeronáutico de Europa, tras Toulouse y Hamburgo.

Representantes de FIDAE y de IDS se han reunido en Chile con diversos miembros de entidades civiles y militares nacionales con el objetivo de definir los aspectos más importantes que se expondrán durante la 3ra edición de la Conferencia Latinoamericana de Sistemas Remotamente Tripulados, UNVEX'16 que se celebrará los días 31 de marzo al 1 de abril del próximo año en el seno de una de las Ferias más importantes del continente en materia de defensa, seguridad y aeroespacial.

En el marco de dichas reuniones se han tratado temas concretos como la experiencia y proyección en el uso de UAS/RPAS (drones) en las Fuerzas Armadas, cuerpos de seguridad y usos civiles, además de la legislación, certificación, formación de operadores, junto a proyectos de universidades y centros de I+D.

"El mercado de los UAV está creciendo exponencialmente, se duplica cada año y podríamos hablar que es equivalente a la telefonía móvil, ya que la tecnología va a una velocidad muy grande y la demanda del mercado es cada vez mayor", destacó Ángel Macho, Consejero Delegado de IDS, que viajó a Chile con la finalidad de recopilar mayor información e inquietudes de especialistas.

El representante de IDS añadió que "para nosotros es un honor y una satisfacción realizar la nueva edición de UNVEX'16 en FIDAE, ya que es la mayor feria aeronáutica del continente. Los UAS/RPAS se han convertido en este momento en los sistemas aéreos de mayor crecimiento y, creo que con la conferencia UNVEX'16 dentro de su programa de conferencias, vamos a conseguir estar a la vanguardia, con una audiencia perfectamente preparada que aprovechará al máximo el desarrollo de ésta tecnología".

UNVEX, el gran encuentro sobre sistemas remotamente tripulados

Tras el éxito de sus dos ediciones anteriores (Lima y Bogotá), UNVEX América celebrará su tercera edición en Santiago de Chile, dentro de FIDAE 2016, la mayor Feria Americana del sector aeronáutico, los días 31 de marzo y 1 de abril del próximo año.

UNVEX AMERICA es un encuentro profesional, orientado al mercado, con el objetivo de impulsar el conocimiento y la aplicación de los sistemas remotamente tripulados. Su programa incluye los aspectos que más preocupan al sector como la legislación, normativa, operación, formación de operadores y, por supuesto, la tecnología. Se espera la participación de ponentes de varios países de la región, así como de expertos de los países más desarrollados en este mercado, como Estados Unidos e Israel.
