En virtud de dicho acuerdo, el pedido de 122 helicópteros NH-90 se reducen a 82 y los 80 helicópteros militares Tigre encargados pasan a 57.
La reducción del pedido de helicópteros s EADS ha constituido una fuente de tensiones entre el consorcio aeronáutico europeo y el Gobierno de Berlín.

El BEI cita concretamente diversos proyectos, como los destinados a "reducir el impacto de la aviación sobre el medio ambiente en términos de eficiencia energética, emisiones (CO2, NOx) y el ruido".
Estos programas deben hacer lo posible "para desarrollar soluciones efectivas que afectarán directamente al diseño y producción de aeronaves, incluyendo la mejora de la aerodinámica del avión y la optimización de los sistemas de seguridad y controles de vuelo".

A little after 5:00am EST this morning, Boeing let the cat out of the bag: Ryanair is set to order 175 Boeing 737-800′s, which is the largest Boeing airplane order in Europe to date. Although an impressive order, the news was surely not breaking, since rumors of the order have been circulating for a while.
