NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) have put more detail on their agreement for ESA to build the service module for NASA's Orion crew exploration vehiicle. The €450 deal involves ESA using heritage ATV hardware to construct the service module that will allow crew to travel to and from cis-lunar space. This will be part of a barter arrangement in which its fees ESA owned NASA for ESA's use of the
International Space Station will be waived.
