SuperJet International launches Aeroflot Flight Crew Training Course in Moscow

SuperJet International (SJI) - a joint venture between Alenia Aeronautica, a Finmeccanica Company, and Sukhoi Holding - has launched the first Aeroflot Flight Crew Training Course at its Training Center facility in Moscow.
SuperJet International, which is in charge of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) sales in the Western markets, is also responsible for training and after-sales support all over the world.
Given the international nature of the product, SuperJet International has established two facilities based in Venice and in Moscow for its training opportunities.
The "Type Rating course for Aeroflot pilots" on the SSJ100 is a necessary step aimed at introducing of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 into the commercial operations.
This recovery course, managed by SJI instructors, will involve three Aeroflot crews and will have a duration of 24 days.
From next June SuperJet International will further enhance its training capacity with the availability of the first Full Flight Simulator.
On February 7th SuperJet International also started the first maintenance Type Training course on the SSJ100 for 12 Aeroflot engineers, with different skills and background, designated for the acceptance of the first aircraft. This theoretical course, combining airframe, systems, powerplant and avionics, is held inside Aeroflot Training Center at Sheremetievo airport and it engages SJI instructors and AFL trainees for 27 days.
SuperJet International Aviation Training Center facility in Moscow is ready to provide training on SSJ100 type to aviation personnel (pilots, flight attendants and maintenance staff) of airlines in Russia and in other countries, in accordance with Russian Federal Aviation (RosAviaciya) approval obtained on February 2nd.
