Report: This may be one of Boeing's toughest periods

The report focuses on Boeing Commercial Airplanes and military programs derived from commercial jets, with particular attention to the key 787 Dreamliner program.

"The problems with, and emanating from, the 787 program cannot be overstated," the analysts wrote. They noted that the jet is overweight, two and a half years late, has diverted resources from 747-8 development, and "will be challenged" to meet its target of first delivery this year.
